JENNIFER Aniston has caused an internet meltdown after claiming that her family had no geld growing up.

The Friends star left netizens krapping hul koppe after making the claim in a new interview in Elle Magazine's Women In Hollywood December 2025/January 2026 issue. 

The 56-year-old actress claimed that her family 'had no money' when she was klein. 

During the interview she was asked which of the characters she played would she have liked to be in real life.

And the screen beauty said she would definitely have loved to be Rachel Green who she played in the iconic sitcom Friends. 

Rachel famously had a rich daddy and never sukkelled to pay rent in Manhattan, even though she worked as a waitress at a coffee shop Central Perk in the show.  

She explained: 'I would probably say Rachel, except my family had no money growing up, and she did.”

But mense were stumped, knowing that she is the famous actress daughter of two famous Hollywood stars. 

Her father John Aniston played Victor Kiriakis on the popular soap opera Days Of Our Lives.

Meanwhile, her mom Nancy Dow was also an actress and appeared on The Beverly Hillbillies, The Wild Wild West and Mr. Terrific. 

Typically, soap stars usually earn about $1 million a year from their work if they are a regular on a show. 

And life didn’t seem so bad when she shared photos of her with her parents playing next to their pool at home.

One person reacted: “No money? Her dad was famous on TV, I don't get it. 

Nog ene added: “She must mean her parents were only millionaires and not billionaires.”

And that was just the beginning. 

Users on the DailyMail.com also had their say, with one posting “Had a house in California with a swimming pool. That’s an insult to people who actually have no money.”

Mense accused her of being out of touch with reality, with one writing: “She’s had so much money that she’s lost perspective. 

“Looks like they had a nice house with a pool in SO and that’s poor to her. It’s a perspective we can’t understand. 

“The person who said her parents were only millionaires was spot on. Millionaire is poor to her.”
