Did you know you can cook eggs in an air fryer?
Even the most devoted air fryer fans who claim you can make just about anything in one might be surprised to learn that eggs are on the menu, too.
Once known mainly for crisping up fries and wings, the air fryer has evolved into a versatile kitchen essential, perfect for healthier, hands-free cooking, including breakfast staples like eggs.
Eggs are affordable, packed with protein, and incredibly versatile, making them a go-to for any meal, especially breakfast.
Here are three quick and easy ways to cook eggs in your air fryer.
Preheat the air fryer to 130°C.
Place cold, raw eggs directly in the basket.
Cook for 15 to 17 minutes, depending on desired doneness.
Transfer eggs to an ice bath immediately after cooking to stop the cooking process and make peeling easier.
Preheat the air fryer to 150°C.
Lightly grease an oven-safe ramekin or small dish.
Crack two or three eggs into the dish, add salt, pepper, and a splash of milk or cream if desired.
Place in the air fryer and cook for eight to 10 minutes, stirring once halfway through for even cooking.
Once set and fluffy, remove and serve.
You can add cheese, herbs, or diced veggies before cooking for a frittata-style twist.
Preheat the air fryer to 175°C
Lightly oil a small cake pan or oven-safe dish.
Carefully crack an egg into the dish to keep the yolk intact.
Cook for four to six minutes, depending on how runny or set you want the yolk.
Gently remove and serve.
You can use foil or parchment to help with removal.
