In a deeply personal announcement that has moved the public, Vanessa Trump has revealed a major health challenge.

The 48-year-old former daughter-in-law of Donald Trump, and current girlfriend of golf legend Tiger Woods, shared that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

The news came directly from her on Wednesday, May 20, through a heartfelt post on her social media.

Despite the gravity of the diagnosis, her message was defined by resilience, gratitude and a determination to face the journey ahead with strength.

Specific details regarding her medical status remain private. However, Trump chose to be transparent about her initial steps and the reality of her diagnosis.

In her emotional Instagram post, she wrote: "I want to share a personal health update. I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan."

Trump shared that she had undergone an unspecified medical procedure earlier in the week. She took a moment to explicitly thank her doctors, nurses, and the broader medical team for their swift action, expertise, and compassionate care during a stressful time.

"I would like to thank my doctors for performing procedure after procedure earlier this week on me."

Detailed specifics regarding the stage of her breast cancer, her long-term prognosis or the exact roadmap for her upcoming treatments, such as radiation, chemotherapy or further surgery, have not been disclosed.

Trump has requested privacy as she concentrates entirely on her health and recovery.

Trump emphasised that she is staying "focused and hopeful" while being surrounded by her family. She is leaning heavily on her five children, Kai (19), Donald III (17), Tristan (14), Spencer (13) and Chloe (11), whom she shares with her ex-husband, Donald Trump Jr.

The couple divorced in 2018.

"I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids and those closest to me. Thank you for your kindness and support. It truly means more than I can express.

"I kindly ask for privacy as I focus on my health and recovery," she ended.

The public reaction to her diagnosis was immediate and filled with warmth.

Friends, followers and public figures quickly flooded her profile with well-wishes. Notably, her former sister-in-law, Ivanka Trump, was among the first to offer public comfort, writing: "Praying for your continued strength and a swift recovery. Love you, mama."

Kai Trump commented: "Love you! Strongest person ever ❤️."

This health news comes at a very busy time in Trump's life. Her boyfriend, Woods, just returned home to Florida after spending six weeks overseas working through personal and legal issues following a DUI charge earlier this year.

Insiders say that despite dealing with so much at the same time, the couple is staying strong and fully supporting each other.
