Amapiano star Vigro Deep (Kamogelo Phetla) is celebrating after tying the knot in a traditional ceremony over the weekend. He exchanged vows with his long-time partner, Lilitha Nxadi. Congratulations are in order for the couple!
Social media was flooded with pictures and videos posted by the guests who honoured the wedding invitation of the couple as they marked a milestone in their relationship.
Among the guests were notable figures in the industry, including producer Mr JazziQ and vocalist Babalwa M.
In a video that is circulating on social media, the newly married couple was seen doing a traditional wedding step, as they were joined by family and friends behind them.
The bride looked stunning in an orange wedding dress with bold patterns all over it, and it featured a one-shoulder neckline, which added a modern touch to the traditional dress.
The groom wore a beige traditional shirt with long sleeves and matching beige pants. The shirt featured a cut of the orange cloth to perfectly match his bride's.
The couple kept their relationship off social media, and it was only last October that fans of the DJ were given a glimpse into their relationship after pictures from the lobola ceremony were posted on social media.
Vigro Deep is a music producer and DJ who hails from Pretoria and took the amapiano scene by storm in 2019.
The 24-year-old revealed in an interview back in 2022 that he was first interested in hip hop but switched to amapiano after realising how the genre was making waves back then.
“At that time, I was more into hip hop, and I was even rapping. What influenced me to this amapiano genre was that at school, the sound was banging.
“Also, regarding gigs, with hip-hop you have to push it, but with amapiano it was going so easily, I decided to DJ. In December 2018, I switched to amapiano, and I had my first gig the same month,” he said.
In addition, Vigro Deep has collaborated with stars such as Focalistic, Scotts Maphuma, Young Stunna, Mr JazziQ, Xduppy, Zee Nxumalo and more.
He also produced hit songs, which include “Wishi Wishi” and “Bhampa”.
