Cardi B has always been a trendsetter but her latest body mod might just be her wildest one yet.
The rapper, known for her fearless attitude and unfiltered personality, has revealed a brand-new piercing in a place no one saw coming: her butt crack.
And the internet can’t decide whether to gasp or applaud her.
On Monday, January 27, the “WAP” rapper casually dropped a rather interesting announcement on X (formerly Twitter): “Soooo …….I got my butt crack pierced 🤭.”
To back it up, she posted a photo showing off the daring accessory with the caption: “Do I lie?”

Naturally, the announcement had her fans going crazy because who else but Cardi B could make something this unexpected feel like the most normal thing in the world?
Some couldn’t help but laugh at Cardi B’s audacity, with one fan commenting: “How is it even physically possible?!🤔😱🥶.”
Another wrote: “That’s the grossest area to ever get a piercing on.“
While a third wrote: “Really? Didn’t know that was a thing.”
This isn’t her first foray into body mods that make headlines. From her intricate tattoos to piercings in unconventional spots like her chest and lip, Cardi B’s body has always been her canvas.
While piercings have long been a form of self-expression, the trend of adorning less traditional areas of the body has gained traction in recent years.
Piercings such as the "Valley" or "sacral" piercing, located near the upper part of the buttocks, have been documented within body modification communities.
Cardi B isn’t the only one rocking piercings in surprising spots.
In a 2022 interview with “TMZ,” Lizzo revealed that she had multiple piercings, including in intimate areas.
When asked about the number of piercings, she responded: "You can't see my coochie; I can't show you.“
Rihanna, for instance, has been vocal about her nipple piercings, showing them off through sheer outfits and leaving fans in awe of her fearless style.
