Newly crowned Miss Universe 2025, Fátima Bosch, has broken her silence amid the ongoing controversy about the rigged results and her winning the competition instead of other "deserving" contestants.

The beauty queen took to Instagram on Tuesday, November 25, and released a statement via her Instagram stories, sharing that she has received death threats and insults merely because she got crowned.

“What must be in a person’s heart to wish harm upon someone they don’t even know? Thank God I have strong values and self-esteem, and this does not bring me down.”

She added, “Today I want to raise my voice not as a beauty, but as a woman. A woman who, like millions around the world, has experienced firsthand the violence born from the hate, misinformation and inability of someone to see a woman shine without feeling threatened.

“In the past few days, I have received insults, attacks and even death wishes for one single reason: because I won.”

Bosch said that people can mock her all they want, but she will not stay silent.

The 25-year-old also shared screenshots of multiple dm’s that she received from people who insulted her and wished her harm.

However, Bosch’s statement did not receive a positive response from fans who commented that even though they do understand how harmful the insults are, she could have addressed the elephant in the room, which is what other beauty queens are saying about the competition.

“She should use her voice as she claims to want to, and resign. Stand with your sister queens and speak out against fraud and discrimination,” a fan shared.

“Dear Fátima, I don’t know what to say, but read the room, please, it will help,” another fan commented.

Another fan added: “Nobody hates you, we all hate the injustice!!!”

We all saw the drama that happened before the finale, and now more fuel has been added to the fire after the crowning.

Since the crowning took place, a lot of Miss Universe fans have taken to social media to express their frustrations over the lack of transparency in the competition.

Many shared that Olivia Yacé, who represented Côte d'Ivoire, performed way better than Bosch, and she deserved to win.

The drama quickly escalated, with Yacé and more beauty queens announcing that they are stepping down from their titles as they no longer want to be affiliated with Miss Universe.

While other beauty queens spoke out about the discrimination they faced during the competition.

In less than a week, multiple statements were issued, the drama kept getting even worse, and fans are getting riled up as they demand that certain directors leave the organisation.

This has been such a scandalous journey for sure!
