In November, fashion meets fur in Cape Town as models hit the runway hand in paw with rescue dogs in a unique show that’s as much about compassion as couture.
The Re-Loved Fashion Show will transform secondhand garments into high fashion, while giving homeless dogs a chance to strut their stuff and find forever homes.
Guests will see top Cape Town designers and promising students rummage through TEARS’ thrift shop racks, picking preloved items to reimagine as original couture.
The creations will be auctioned on the night, along with Hill’s pet food and pledge drives.
All proceeds raised support vaccinations, sterilisation, flea and tick treatment, collars, leads and more.
Jackie Quail, from Hill’s Pet Nutrition, said the event captures the essence of transformation, both in fashion and in animals’ lives. She emphasised that the real magic lies in finding forever homes for the dogs, not just the fashion.
The show will be compered by comedian and radio personality Angel Campey, who brings a playful voice to the runway.
The event will be held on November 13 & 14, 2025 at Simons Restaurant on the Groot Constantia wine estate.
The show features a fashion mix that is both bold and kind:
Each dog walking the runway is available for adoption (pending application).
Guests will have moments to mingle and meet the dogs during the evening.
Tickets include a welcome drink, canapés, front-row thrills, and the chance to cuddle canine models between acts.
100% of ticket proceeds will support TEARS Animal Rescue.
Tickets are available on Quicket.
