Crocworld’s Fish Eagle Café Takes Home Prestigious Restaurant Guru Award

CROCWORLD Conservation Centre on the south coast is celebrating a major milestone as its on-site restaurant, Fish Eagle Café, has earned the coveted Recommendation Badge from Restaurant Guru.

As one of the preeminent global food platforms, Restaurant Guru boasts over 30 million views per month. This prestigious accolade, which recognizes excellence in the culinary world, sees Fish Eagle Café crowned as the Best Cafeteria in Scottburgh, a distinction that reflects the dedication and hard work of the café’s team.

“We are absolutely thrilled to receive this recognition,” said Morne van Zyl, Executive Chef and Manager of Fish Eagle Café. “It’s a testament to the passion, skill, and commitment our team has in delivering a memorable dining experience for every guest. The Restaurant Guru Awards are renowned for honoring the best of the best, chosen based on customer reviews, food quality, service, and ambiance. Winning this award grants Fish Eagle Café enhanced visibility and credibility on the global food scene, with the exclusive use of the prestigious Restaurant Guru Awards logo for promotional purposes.

Situated within the stunning Crocworld Conservation Centre, Fish Eagle Café offers guests more than just delicious food, lucky guests could get a glimpse of  migrating humpback whales or the Sardine Run, which occurs in winter. During his decades of experience, Van Zyl has catered for many high-profile dignitaries, including former South African presidents Thabo Mbeki and Nelson Mandela. He has also served His Majesty King Letsie III and Her Majesty Queen Masenate Mohato Seeiso during a royal wedding. 

Meanwhile, Crocworld Conservation Centre has teamed up with the Centre for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW), and children have a range of educational activities in which to participate during the school holidays.
