As our front page shows, we're going all-out to support the Proteas Women in their quest to make history as the country's first cricket World Cup champions. And having already beaten India in the tournament, I would say the chances of a local ticker tape parade are high.

In other news, chimpanzees never fail to amaze us with their intelligence and social behaviours, but now scientists have observed something new: chimp doctors. That plus humans mourning dead pets and technology in the fight against shark attacks are all on Page 12.

Still with tech, while there are justifiable fears about the use of AI, and there are people who resist its use, we look at how it's changing who gets hired. Its advantages cannot be denied either, as a paralysed woman takes her first steps in a decade using an AI-powered high-tech suit. On the same page, use birds to test your partner's attentiveness, and clothing the army is all in the family.
