“We understand that charity begins at home. And for us the community of Chesterville is right on our doorstep. When Cllr Makhathini approached us asking for help for new shoes for pupils, we were delighted to be able to assist,” says Zuma.

Christopher Nxumalo principal, Philile Khasa agreed. “We really appreciate the contribution. Their kindness will go a long way. We have children from all sorts of different family and financial backgrounds. Sometimes children get teased for not having shoes, and sometimes they won’t attend school with worn out shoes, so this is a great motivation.”
