Two teenagers were shot dead and five others wounded in what police believe was a gang-related shooting in Westbury, Johannesburg, Gauteng.
The shooting incident took place in Croesus Street in Westbury at about 1 pm on Tuesday.
Police said the seven teenagers were approached by four suspects on foot, three of whom were armed.
The victims were aged between 13 and 19.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Brenda Muridili said two of the teenagers were declared dead on the scene, while the five wounded victims were taken to the hospital.
Preliminary reports suggest the shooting was gang-related.
She said the Provincial Anti-Gang Unit and SAPS Forensic Services are still on the scene.
District Crime Intelligence has also been mobilised to assist the Anti-Gang Unit in tracing the suspects, she added.
