Three kidnappers shot and killed in Gauteng

The kidnappers have been shot and killed by Gauteng police.

Three kidnappers were shot and killed during a confrontation with Gauteng police in Parktown, Johannesburg on Friday.
National police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe, said the suspects allegedly kidnapped a Chinese national in June 2025, and last week they tried to kidnap another businessman in Gauteng.
Mathe said they were allegedly on their way to commit a robbery when they were intercepted by police.
Major General Fred Kekana is currently at the scene.
