Well-known Durban performer Anthony Stonier has pleaded guilty to the charges against him

Durban actor Anthony Stonier has pleaded guilty to child pornography charges.
Stonier was arrested in Glenwood during a raid back in April 2024.
At the time, IOL reported that Stonier was allegedly in possession of hundreds of videos of children being sexually abused. Police reportedly found thousands of child porn images and videos on his device.
Police said Stonier's arrest was due to a joint operation by the SA Police Service (SAPS) Serial and Electronic Crime Investigations (SECI) unit and the American Homeland Security department.
According to reports, Stonier was also arrested in November 2023 on similar charges. At the time he also pleaded guilty and was handed a 10-year prison sentence, of which five years were suspended.
He is due to be sentenced later this month.
