Who said school can't be fun?

Creativity took centre stage at a KwaZulu-Natal primary school when two teachers turned an ordinary classroom challenge into a fast-paced fashion moment.
Mrs Byram and Mrs Storm joined learners from Hillcrest Primary School’s LEAP class as they set out to design outfits using Checkers bags. But the teachers didn’t just supervise, they jumped right in.
With the clock ticking, the duo got to work cutting, shaping, and styling, and in just 60 minutes unveiled a bold, head-turning ensemble crafted entirely from Checkers Sixty60 bags and packets.
The fun didn’t stop there. Leaning fully into the moment, the school placed a Checkers delivery, and the teacher proudly arrived to collect it wearing the eye-catching creation, much to the driver’s surprise and delight.
Whoever said school can’t be fun clearly hasn’t seen this runway-ready lesson in action.
