Police in Limpopo have launched a murder investigation after the body of an unidentified man was discovered with multiple stab wounds in Northam’s Malema Park early on Sunday morning.

Police in Northam, Limpopo, have launched a murder investigation after the body of an unidentified man was discovered in Malema Park during the early hours of Sunday morning.

Provincial police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said officers were called to the scene at around 5am, where they found the victim,  believed to be an African male, about 28 years old, lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds.

“The Emergency Medical Services were summoned to the scene and certified the man dead upon arrival,” Ledwaba said.

The motive for the killing is still unknown, and police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Authorities have appealed to members of the community to come forward with any information that may help identify the victim or trace those responsible.
