Full security measures in place for G20 Health Ministers Meeting in Polokwane

Limpopo SAPS has implemented comprehensive security plans and mobilised multi-disciplinary resources to ensure a safe and smooth G20 Health Ministers Summit at the Ranch Protea Hotel.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Limpopo has confirmed it is fully prepared to host the G20 Health Ministers Meeting and associated events, set to begin on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the Ranch Protea Hotel in Polokwane.

The high-level gathering will bring together health ministers, senior officials and invited guests from leading global economies and international organisations to discuss key global health priorities.

As the host province, Limpopo SAPS has implemented comprehensive security measures, deploying multi-disciplinary resources to ensure the summit runs smoothly and safely.

Acting Provincial Commissioner Major General Jan Scheepers emphasised the police service’s commitment to a secure environment throughout the event.

“The South African Police Service has completed thorough preparations to guarantee that the summit proceeds safely, peacefully and efficiently. Our integrated security plan includes all necessary measures to protect international guests and participants while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism,” said Major General Scheepers.

SAPS, in coordination with other law enforcement agencies and stakeholders, continues to monitor all operational aspects to ensure the success of this high-profile international meeting.
