Durban has officially ushered in the festive season following the illumination of the City’s Christmas lights by eThekwini Mayor Cyril Xaba.
The lights, activated along Dr. Pixley ka Seme Street, signal the City’s readiness to welcome an estimated 1.3 million visitors over the holiday period. Mayor Xaba assured residents and tourists that Durban’s leisure destinations will be safe, vibrant, and inviting, as the City prepares a series of festive activations aimed at enhancing the holiday experience and boosting tourism into the new year.
