200g milk chocolate, chopped
2 tbs golden syrup, substitute with honey
50g unsalted butter
a pinch of salt
90g cornflakes
36 mini eggs
Line a 12-hole muffin pan with paper liners and set aside. Add the chocolate, butter and golden syrup (or honey) to a large, microwave-safe mixing bowl.
Warm in the microwave in 30-second increments until completely melted. Stir the mixture between each heating. Add the cornflakes into the bowl with the melted chocolate mixture. Using a large spoon, toss and stir carefully until all the cornflakes are evenly coated in the chocolate.
To build the nests, add 1 heaped tablespoon of chocolate-coated cornflakes into each of the muffin cases. Gently press the cornflakes mixture down, forming a well in the center and bringing the cornflakes up on the sides.
Decorate each nest with 3 mini chocolate eggs. Allow to set.
