AN UKNOWN number of people are trapped under concrete and rubble after a four-storey building under construction at the River Range Ranch temple in Verulam collapsed a short while ago.
It is believed that the priest from the temple is also among those trapped under the rubble.

Prem Balram, spokesperson for Reaction Unit South Africa, said a few survivors are communicating from under the rubble.

“The four-storey temple at River Range Ranch collapsed with several entrapments under concrete. Survivors are communicating via voice notes from under the building. We are currently treating eight patients.

"We cannot confirm how many people are trapped. We cannot confirm if there are any deceased, but we are doing all we can to try to free those who are trapped. We are calling for paramedics, and medical and rescue teams to provide support in the area,” Balram said.
