Renowned for energising crowds with Mzansi’s beloved amapiano rhythms, South African music producer DJ Maphorisa, affectionately known as Phori, recently embarked on a travel adventure where the spotlight shifted from music to his impressive style and dance feet.

Posting a lively video on Instagram, Maphorisa not only flaunted his renowned dance moves but also his flair for fashion, capturing the attention of his ever-growing fanbase.

In a vibrant bumblebee yellow Nike tracksuit, complete with matching sneakers, Maphorisa showcased a fashion sense that speaks to his luxurious lifestyle.

However, it was his choice of luggage that made headlines.

Pushing a bespoke Goyard luggage set, reported to be worth an astonishing R400 000, the DJ made a statement that is hard to ignore.

This stylish ensemble was complemented by three carefully selected Goyard accessories: the Cisalpin backpack valued at R59 000 and the Bourget PM Trolley at R167 577.

As he danced to Djy Smallz's infectious hit, "Zep Zep Zep", social media lit up with reactions from netizens impressed by both his moves and his drip.

Comments such as "@tolescoutie" stating: “Over R100K in Goyard is crazy,” reflect the awe Maphorisa's high-fashion choices inspire.

Meanwhile, user @lady_val_m acknowledged his rhythm with: “Some smooth moves right there. So much improvement, Phori.”

Even @bafo369 praised Maphorisa’s connection to South African culture, while @daliwonga_zw added a dash of humour by joking, “Thought you would use the Woolies bag.”

This dance video isn't a standalone moment for the producer; it comes on the heels of another post showing off his Burberry shorts to the same track.

Not only does it seem "Zep Zep Zep" is on repeat in his summer playlist, but Maphorisa also reached out to its creator, DJ Smallz, in a cheeky request for a verse or a feature on the recently launched single: “Yep Zep Zep kopa VERSE 🤪😭.”

In addition to his playful social media activity, Maphorisa was recently in the spotlight for a significant professional milestone - the sold-out concert "Scorpion Kings Live with Friends" that he co-produced with Kabza De Small at Loftus Versveld Stadium in August.

The event marked a pinnacle of success in a music industry that he acknowledges is increasingly demanding and competitive.

In an interview with Tbo Touch on Metro FM, Maphorisa candidly discussed the challenges of today’s music landscape.

“It’s tough now, it’s not easy - it’s not like before,” he reflected.

“There’s too much competition. People have short attention spans. They may love one song from you and stick with that for about six months. But if you release 10 hot songs, not all of them will get the reception you expect.”

He specifically shared his experience with his latest album, "Ngomoya", stating he had released 28 songs only for fans to gravitate towards just one.
