Korean star Kim Tae-hee and make-up artist Jung Saem-mool relive terrifying robbery ordeal in South Africa

Renowned Korean actress Kim Tae-hee and celebrity makeup artist Jung Saem-mool recently shared a chilling experience during an episode of the Korean TV show, "10 Billion Dollar Breakfast".

"10 Billion Dollar Breakfast" is a talk show that features successful individuals from various fields, where they share their morning routines and life stories.

Tae-hee and Saem-mool transported viewers back to a traumatic moment during a photoshoot in South Africa, where the pair found themselves caught in a terrifying robbery incident 

The exact location of the shoot is unknown. 

Recalling the incident, the beauty expert, Saem-mool, described how a seemingly routine shoot morphed into chaos when armed robbers stormed in.

She explained how the team was invited to dinner while in South Africa working on a film shoot. They excitedly embraced the warm welcome; however, that welcome quickly turned into a nightmare.

Saem-mool said: "The robbers with guns stormed in. Men dressed in black attacked with (us) pistols."

She went on to add that within a matter of minutes, all their possessions were taken. She said that she lost about 20 million won (about R250,000) worth of items, including a professional camera.

Saem-mool said the attackers put the people into a cramped bathroom before escaping: "Fortunately, there were no casualties."

Saem-mool, however, admitted that the traumatic incident left its mark. "I couldn't do anything for a while due to trauma."

Amid the trauma, Saem-mool said that she came across a young girl whose bright eyes offered her a glimpse of hope.

“I asked her, ‘Do you want to come here?’ and the child came to me and gave me a hug,” she shared.

Despite the incident, Saem-mool said that the popular Korean actress, Tae-hee, still professionally completed the photo shoot as scheduled. However, she canceled her planned vacation and returned home early.
