While weâve been either burning under the Cape Town sun, battling wild winds, or dodging puddles in rainy Johannesburg, some folks are out here living their best lives on vacation, and we are so here for it.
Dr Musa Mthombeni recently took to Instagram to share snaps from a guysâ trip that has us equal parts envious and joyful. Because letâs be real, weâre so used to seeing girlsâ trips plastered all over social media, itâs refreshing to see the gents enjoying themselves.
The posts show Mthombeni and six friends living it up in Thailand. And it is screaming paradise with the crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches and the unmistakable glow of golden sunsets.
Mthombeni captioned one snap: "20 years plus of friendship on our annual or biannual or whatever you want to call it, boys trip! Daddies are up! We will continue to be up until the money runs out (which is very soon). Our wives miss us dearly! We will be back, baby girls."
âBLACK BOY JOY! Beach club with the boys! Enjoying today because tomorrow isnât promised,â he wrote.
In another, he simply wrote: âJust another day in Thailand. Nothing serious! đ„đ„đ„.â
The photos show them dancing, laughing, and just being, which is all the vibe we want to catch.
His wife, LieslâŻLaurieâMthombeni, couldnât help but gush: âAwwwww man! This makes my heart sooo happy! đ„șâ
Musa and Liesl have been married for more than three years and are frequent travel partners, jetting off around the world, and itâs always beautiful to see our people thriving beyond South Africaâs borders because travelling is a privilege and such a blessing.
Before jetting off to Thailand with his friends, Musa had been making Mzansi envious with his getaways with Liesl.
In 2025, he and Liesl celebrated their anniversary in Hong Kong, while the previous year saw them exploring Munich, Germany, for Lieslâs birthday.
The couple also enjoyed a scenic trip through TĂŒrkiye, taking in Istanbulâs culture before unwinding in Antalya.
These trips highlight Musa's love for travel, both as a couple and now with friends, showing that whether itâs a romantic escape or a guysâ adventure, he knows how to make every journey memorable.
